B. and I are moving! It's been a busy, hectic bunch of months lately, which explains my blog absense. also, i don't own a computer so blogging unfortunately falls by the wayside.

anyway, our new place is more downtown but so big-- 1100 square feet-- two bedrooms and a dining room and a little pantry and all kinds of charm. it's also right next to an awesome bakery and coffee shop and near good shops and restaurants and buslines. i could easily walk to downtown in about 15 minutes and that's exciting. of course, whenever i move, i tend to lament the things i really like about my current neighborhood. i love the 'hood i'm in now but B's apartment just doesn't work for the two of us. but i'll miss our tree-lined street and quiet neighbors. i think all and all this move will be positive and has more plusses than minuses. my dad is convinced we're moving into a slightly more dangerous neighborhood (and was quick to point out some broken car window glass this morning: "you didn't see that at your old place!") but i'm not too worried. you do what you can-- exercise common sense, be aware, etc.

we'll see!
my ultimate goal is to eventually purchase a laptop and wifi capability-- so many coffee shops offer free wifi around here that it would be easy to hook up with a good tea and blog and catch up on correspondance.

change is good, in my opinion-- at least most of the time.
